For several years, Manpower Switzerland has identified a gap in the market: medium-sized companies do not have access to VMS solutions tailored to their needs, unlike large groups, which have internal tools or complex and costly solutions.
A clear customer need: optimising temporary staffing management
In 2022, a world-leading company in the field of flavours and fragrances – a long-standing customer of Manpower Switzerland – expressed a clear need: a solution to effectively manage their temporary staff. Their priority was to ensure that their needs were met through a Master Vendor model, centralising requests and simplifying the management process.
“The customer’s primary need was really a portal to facilitate requests and ensure their follow-up,” explains Jérôme Vallat, Head of Strategic Business Projects. “As a Master Vendor, we had to offer them a solution capable of managing the order flow transparently. They had around a hundred temporary workers on long-term assignments. They wanted to move quickly but had few internal resources to manage such a project.“

Although the Swiss market offers a few temporary staffing management solutions, these tools have proven to be too complex and ill-suited to medium-sized companies with more limited temporary staffing volumes and resources.

To meet this client’s needs, Manpower Switzerland chose the Pixid VMS solution for its ease of use, speed of implementation and compatibility with the operations of medium-sized organisations. “The deadline was very short, but in two and a half months everything was up and running! The project was well planned and everything was perfectly managed by the Pixid and Manpower teams,” says Jérôme.
Close collaboration with the Pixid VMS project team ensured smooth implementation, with an emphasis on minimising the client’s involvement in the technical process. “Our goal was clear: to deliver an operational solution without burdening the client’s internal processes. We achieved this goal through rigorous coordination and the involvement of the project teams.”

Particular attention was paid to end-user training and ongoing support to ensure rapid adoption of the solution. Roger Frommhold, Implementation Manager at ManpowerGroup, explains, “Interactions with the Pixid technical teams have always been excellent and highly responsive, ensuring constant support and rapid assistance when needed.” This approach ensured a smooth transition for users.

The solution also directly benefits Manpower Switzerland’s teams, as it allows them to centralise data and improve performance analysis. “The data collected via Pixid is analysed on a weekly basis, which allows us to ensure that we deliver high performance to our clients, both in terms of request satisfaction rates and response times,” explains Jérôme. “The figures are quite revealing and help us understand where things are working and where adjustments are needed.”
